As of March 18, 2017 I was officially a married woman. The day was perfect, full of happy and beautiful memories. And what better place to go on a honeymoon than Canada! Okay, so the cold weather may not have been ideal, but the people, the city, the food - they were all worth it. We stayed at the Cambridge Suites Hotel in downtown Toronto with a gorgeous view of the city, and close to the Eaton Center, a giant five story mall with every store you could think of inside. We spent most of the days there touring the city sights, and on Thursday and Friday we went outside of the skyscrapers and into the suburbs to see the great Niagara Falls and Scarborough Bluffs. To some, the country may feel a bit underrated compared to the rest of the world's grandeur, but I would disagree. It may be a simple country, but it is also a beautiful one. These pictures only capture a small bit of the amazing views Canada has to offer, and I know Davis and I will return one day to see much more of this great nation.

"The CN Tower"
This enormous 1,814 foot tower is the largest free standing structure in the Western Hemisphere. Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, the tower was originally meant to be a communications tower for radio and television. Now, it is a great tourist attraction with more than 2 million visits per year.

"Casa Loma"

"The View from Casa Loma"
Just outside of the downtown area, the century old Casa Loma sits on a hill overlooking the city. Built in the early 1900's by Sir Henry Pellat, a prominent businessman in the city, the castle has now become the sight of several movie productions including, X-Men, Chicago, The Vow, and The Pacifier. If you travel to the top of its open towers you can see a perfect skyline of the city.

"Niagara Falls: The Horseshoe Falls"

"The Top of the Falls"
There is nothing more amazing than witnessing one of the great wonders of the world. Niagara falls was truly a sight to see with it's 600,000 gallons of water dropping over a 167 foot cliff. Formed from melting glaciers almost 18,000 years ago, the falls never stop flowing even in the harsh winters of Canada. The Horseshoe Falls are Canadian territory, but right across Goat Island the American Falls can also be viewed from the other side.

"The Butterfly Gardens of Niagara"

"Garden Turtle"
To take a break from the cold Falls, we journeyed to the Butterfly Conservatory in the town of Niagara. The indoor garden has over 2,000 butterflies of 45 different species.

"Scarborough Bluffs"

"Bluffers Park on Lake Ontario"

"Davis at the Bluffs"
The Scarborough Bluffs are tall cliffs located on the beaches of Lake Ontario. There are nine parks located along the Bluffs, and in the summer they are apparently full of beach goers and fisherman. Even though it was 40 degrees when we were there, the view of the Bluffs was almost as amazing as Niagara.
